This series contains letterpress volumes of outgoing letters and various groups of official Johns Hopkins University correspondence. Related material can be found in the Correspondence series of this collection and the President's Office records, RG.01.001.
Gilman also maintained a series of letters written by prominent individuals, which he referred to as his "autograph" collection. These materials are also part of this series.
