Arrangement
Series 1, Subject Files of the Administrative Office, 1880-1992, is subdivided into ten subseries, one for each Librarian or (as it was later called) Director, for whom we have records. The records are filed alphabetically by subject and, in the first eight subseries, within subjects by reverse chronological order. In subseries 9 and 10, the records are filed in chronological order within the alphabetized subject files.
