Scope and Contents note

The bulk of this series is comprised of a typescript draft of The Supreme Court in the Taney Period. This work is Dr Swisher's contribution to the Supreme Court history funded by Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes. The remainder of the files include articles, papers and book reviews written by Swisher. Transcripts of various speeches and lectures are included, among them typescript copies of the London Lectures delivered by Swisher at University College, London in 1947.
