Scope and Contents note
The bulk of the files are made up of Swisher's professional correspondence, and his work on the Oliver Wendell Holmes devise is prominent. The personal correspondence is largely between Swisher and his extended families in California and West Virginia, but letters from his wife Idella are also included.
