Series IX: Faint Object Camera (FOC), 1964-2000
Scope and Contents note
The Faint Object Camera was among the initial instruments on board HST. This series primarily consists of records created or used by Manfred Miebach, a German astronomer from the ESA. The FOC was replaced by the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) in 2002. It includes software manuals, meeting materials, reports, instrument handbooks, presentations, papers and articles, focus and thermal testing materials, and notebooks. The initial numbers on some reports refer to the Electronic Filing System located in Box 9.2, Folder 20.
