This is an artificial series created by the processor which consists of Boas’ research notes and observations, reprints from various authors, notebooks with notes written by Boas, and an array of scholarly journals and magazines. Some of the subjects covered in these materials are general topics such as the history of philosophy, philosophy as it relates to art, French Philosophy, the meaning of words, notes on Aristotle and Plato, nature, and unity. Many items pertain to the art world- folders on modern art, impressionism, cubism, and art criticism- as well as folders containing information on individuals- Henry Ward Beecher, Edmund Burke, Gustave Courbet, Thomas, Harvey, Jacob Taubes, and Frances A. Yates, to name a few.
