"Aesthetics of Literature" Dissertations, 1957-1958
Scope and Contents note
Series 3, Administrative Files, concerns departmental administration. Although the materials range in date from 1932 to 1981, most date from after 1965. There are reports from ad hoc committees in the department, the Humanities Group Council, and Ph.D. examination committees. There are also pamphlets which detail the requirements for the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees. In addition to documents which concern the entire department, there are syllabi and reading lists for certain courses as well as materials dealing with scheduling of courses throughout the academic year. Applications for grants and other means of financial assistance are contained in this series also. Finally there are two newsletters for alumni of the English Department, dating from 1932 and 1941.
