Scope and Contents

Rewritten from dealer description: This item is a Baltimore City Police Academy handbook, created in approximately 1957 by the Baltimore City Police Department for the Baltimore City Police Academy. The handbook is bound in a three-ring binder with black leatherette covers. It consists of one hundred and ten mimeographed sheets, divided by multi-colored binder dividers into sections numbered “10” through “25.” Each section contains instructional documentation related to various departmental procedures, such as “Observation and Descriptions,” “Public Relations,” and “Miscellaneous Department Procedures.” Some pages are marked by notes penned by the presumed former owner, Officer Willie McCray, whose name is written on the front and inside cover of the binder.
