Content Description

This item is a linen handkerchief produced by Jewett & Company Publishers in 1852, with two lines of sheet music from "Little Eva Song", which was written by John G. Whittier, with music set by Manuel Emilio, and inspired by Harriet Beecher Stowe's Uncle Tom's Cabin. The item also has floral border designs, and within those border designs text printed to promote the book. The handkerchief measures 11 1/4 by 12 1/3 inches. This is a first edition of the publisher's promotional linen broadside.
