Biographical / Historical
Emil H. White (1926-1999) was born in Ohio in 1926 and later studied at the University of Akron, the University of Chicago, and Harvard University. He taught at Yale for four years before transferring to Johns Hopkins University in 1956. He was the D. Mead Johnson Professor of Chemistry at Johns Hopkins University and taught until his death in 1999.
