Biographical / Historical

Charles S. Garland was born in New York, but partially raised in Baltimore, attending the Gilman School before going on to graduate from Yale University in 1949.

Garland was formerly the president of the Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital, president of the Baltimore Opera Company, board member of the Chesepeake Bay Foundation, and chairman of the transportation committee of the Greater Baltimore Committee.
