Biographical / Historical

Claudia Bellinger Didier (1893-1989) was a prominent member of Baltimore society and an advocate of classical music, predominantly opera. She was a box holder at the Baltimore Civic Opera Company and was involved in both programming and presentations. Didier was educated at the Baltimore Teachers Training School with a major in Education.

Scope and Contents

The collection contains scrapbooks formerly belonging to Claudia B. Didier. The scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings, magazine clippings, and concert programs. These primarily deal with concerts and musicians in the Baltimore area. Box 1 contains scrapbooks that were previously owned by Didier’s friend Doris G. Wright. Many of the contents in these particular scrapbooks originated from Wright.
