These files contain student records, which are subject to FERPA restrictions, and may be accessed only by the office of creation or by the student for 75 years from the date of last attendance, or until the student is deceased. Contact peabodyarchives@lists.jhu.edu for more information.

Series 1, subseries 2 of this collection is housed off-site and requires 48-hours' notice for retrieval. Contact the Peabody Archives for further information.

Single copies may be made for research purposes. Researchers are responsible for determining any copyright questions. It is not necessary to seek our permission as the owner of the physical work to publish or otherwise use public domain materials that we have made available for use, unless Johns Hopkins University holds the copyright. All requests for permission to publish or perform materials in this collection must be submitted in writing to the archivist of the Arthur Friedheim Library.

Biographical / Historical

The Office of the Registrar maintains student records for the Peabody Conservatory of Music. Prior to the implementation of a bachelor of music program in approximately 1928, students in the Conservatory were enrolled in diploma or certificate programs.
