Dr. G. E. Hill, Dentist, Hill's Gas, Cocoene, and Vitalized Air anesthetics, circa 1890s
This late 19th century trade card produced by Dr. G. E. Hill, a dentist in the Albany Dental Association, advertises painless tooth extraction and filling services via the use of Hill's Gas, "Cocoene" (i.e., cocaine), and Vitalized Air. Dr. Hill maintained seven offices in New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. The front of the card shows an image of red roses and lists the cities in which Dr. Hill maintained his offices.
