Scope and Contents
This small collection gives a glimpse of the literary life of Baltimore in the late nineteenth century. Francese Turnbull was an author and patron of the arts. This collection is not her complete papers but deals with two of her interests: the patronage of Sidney Lanier and her membership in the Woman's Literary Club of Baltimore. Abstract
Papers produced and collected by the Keyser family of Baltimore, Maryland. The Keysers accumulated wealth in the 19th and 20th centuries through mercantile businesses, inheritance, and a variety of industries, including the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, copper and iron works, and investments in land and real estate. They used some of this wealth to finance Baltimore’s public and private institutions, including Johns Hopkins University.

Margaret Donaldson Boehm was born in Baltimore, MD in 1894. She attended Roland Park Country School and later The Johns Hopkins University where she was a student of Arthur O.
