Biography

The study of mathematics at The Johns Hopkins University goes back to the founding of the university in 1876.

Nitu Kitchloo joined Johns Hopkins as a professor in 2010 and in 2014 was appointed chair of the department.

Scope and Contents The records of the Department of Mathematics span the years 1891 to 1894 and 1940 to 1980. With the exception of departmental newsletters for the years 1941 and 1942, the records before 1980 consist primarily of files on graduate students.
