Biographical / Historical
Anna Melissa Graves (born 1875) was a writer, teacher, and activist. She was an active member of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom and, from the 1920s onward, she traveled around the world for her activist work, visiting countries on almost every continent. She died in 1964 and left behind voluminous correspondence showing the international scope of her contacts and interests.
