Handmade paper fashion dolls
Scope and Contents
This collection contains seven handmade paper dolls created approximately in the 1930s. The dolls feature black, watercolor shoes and applied heads cut out from magazines. Each doll depicts a different body type and size, and is dressed in a handmade fabric costume which has been sewn on. On the back of some of the dolls is a note on their size, written in pencil: "short fat" and "average short," for example.
