This collection contains 82 flyers and handouts promoting California funk, reggae, hip-hop, and soul bands and venues from the 1980s to the 1990s. The venues are predominately located in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Featured acts include featuring acts such as Liquid Jesus, Bongo, Sam Bostic, Femme Fatales, The Disposable Heroes of HipHoprisy, Mo'Fessionals, Lime and others. Each item includes the venue address and occasionally the phone number with performance dates.

The flyers are all printed sheets sized, 17" x 11", 8.5" x 5.5", and 3.5" x 3", in various bright colors with several incorporating rubberstamped elements. Quotes like "Groove thang," "Flowers for your mind," and "Rituals, revelence, rhapsody" are printed on several different flyers. All items are in near fine condition with some chips and tears from being mounted on bulletin boards and posts.
