Linda Pastan biographical note
Linda Pastan was born May 27, 1932, in New York City to Jack and Bess Olenick. She married Ira Pastan in 1953 before graduating with a B.A. in English from Radcliffe College in 1954. She earned her M.L.S from Simmons College (now Simmons University) in 1955 and her M.A. in English from Brandeis University in 1957. She lived in Rockville, Maryland, with her husband Ira Pastan and her three children, Rachel, Peter, and Stephen before moving to Chevy Chase, Maryland. From 1991 to 1995, Linda served as the Poet Laureate of Maryland.

William F. Claire biographical note
William F. Claire was born October 4, 1935, in Northampton, Massachusetts to William C. and Vena Claire. He graduated with a B.A. from Columbia University in 1958 and an M.L.S from Georgetown University in 1979. In 1967 he founded the literary magazine Voyages and served as its editor and publisher until 1974.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Initial material was purchased from Second Life Books in April 2021, with two publications gifted by the vendor.
Additional Linda Pastan material purchased from Ken Lopez in December 2021.
