Content Description

This vinyl record produced in 1979 is described on the record sleeve as "a sound-quilt made from a total of 18 hours of recording tape. It weaves spoken word with crowd sounds with interviews and music with ambient sound." It was produced by Jok Church and Adam Ciesielski and published by Magnus Records in association with Alternate Publishing. Side A contains the following speakers from the National March on Washignton for Lesbian and Gay Rights: Robin Tyler, Steve Ault, Tom Robinson, Lucia Valeska, Allen Ginsburg, Arlie Scott, Richard Ashworth, Florynce Kennedy, Charles Law, Mary Watkins & Company, and Kate Millet. Side B contains the following speakers from the Gay Freedom Train's rallies: Rev. Troy Perry and Robin Tyler. The record sleeve also contains a list of the group's five demands for LGBTQ rights.
