Scope and Contents

Nine original woodcut prints signed by artist Fritz Eichenberg and one poster which features a poem by Eichenberg and his print "Ship of Fools" from Dance of Death. The original prints are undated, the poster was made to commemorate New Year 1989.

Custodial History

The woodcuts were originally owned by Eleanor Holdridge's mother, Barbara Holdridge. Barbara Holdridge founded Caedmon Records in 1952 and regularly collaborated with Fritz Eichenberg to commission cover art for albums produced by the label.

Donated by Eleanor Holdridge in December 2020.
