Allen Weir Freeman was a physician and Johns Hopkins University of Public Health Administration born in 1881, and was brother of the author, Douglas Southall Freeman. This file includes three poems handwritten by Robert Frost, titled "On a Birds' Singing in Its Sleep," "A Speck," and "First Biplane." While the second poem is clearly titled "A Speck" in Frosts' hand, the full title of the poem, as it was published in the 1942 Pulitzer Prize winning "A Witness Tree," is "A Considerable Speck." Similarly, the poem enclosed here is titled "First Biplane" in Frost's hand, but is commonly printed under the title "Wright's Biplane."
