Scope and Contents
The Peabody Institute sound and video recordings collection includes reel-to-reel tapes, CDs, and born-digital computer files created by the Peabody Institute since 1958. Events recorded include Peabody Conservatory degree recitals, concerts of small and large ensembles, operas, commencement, Preparatory events, and other performances.
Most events recorded before 2019 are audio only. Events since spring 2019 are recorded as audio and video files.
The collection also includes approximately 10 audio recordings from 1939. The bulk of the recordings in the collection are from 1958 or later.
