Abstract

Sarah Elizabeth Freeman received her B.A. from Mount Holyoke in 1928, and her Ph.D. in Archaeology from Johns Hopkins in 1934. From 1935 until 1944, she worked as a research assistant in the Johns Hopkins Archaeology Department; in 1944 she was named Curator of Fine Arts for the university. The collection documents Freeman’s work on the Johns Hopkins University coin and medal collection with material dating from 1944 through 1969.
