John Dos Passos collection
This small collection contains photographs, a calling card, and letters relating to American novelist John Dos Passos (1896-1970). Included in the collection is a letter from Dos Passos to Spanish academic José Robles regarding Robles' translation of Dos Passos' novel Manhattan Transfer into Spanish. The papers range from approximately 1899 to 1922.
Joyce MacIver papers
Georgette Scott (1904-1999) was a novelist and playwright who wrote under the name Joyce MacIver; she was born and raised in Baltimore and began her writing career at the Baltimore Sun. The collection consists of writings, personal materials, printed material, and photographs dating from the 1940s to the 1990s.
Richard Frary collection of Stephen Crane materials
Stephen Crane (1871-1900) was an American novelist, poet, and short story writer, who in 1895 wrote "The Red Badge of Courage", which earned him international acclaim. This collection of materials relating to Crane, compiled by Johns Hopkins University alumnus Richard Frary, includes letters (many by Crane), events ephemera, photographs, articles of literary criticism, and sheet music (inspired by his fiction). The materials date from the 1890s to the early 2000s.
