Daniel Coit Gilman papers
Department of Romance Languages letters about José Robles Pazos' arrest
José Robles Pazos was an Associate Professor of Spanish at Johns Hopkins University born in 1897 and shot as a traitor by the Spanish Republican Government in February of 1937. The collection spans the years 1929-1940 and consists of correspondence regarding Robles' arrest, a contract for the Spanish translation of 13 books by H.L. Mencken, and two life insurance policies.
Earl Reeves Wasserman papers

Francis Lieber papers
Francis Lieber was a publicist, educator, and political philosopher born in Berlin on March 18, 1800. The Lieber Papers span the years from 1829 to 1873 and include correspondence; interleaved copies of Lieber's books; a small number of original manuscripts; printed speeches, lectures, articles and poems; administrative materials, printed briefs and manuscript decisions for the United States and Mexican Claims Commission (1868-1872).
Frank Johnson Goodnow papers
Frank Johnson Goodnow, Ph.D., LL.B. (January 18, 1859 – November 15, 1939), President of Johns Hopkins University, was an American educator and legal scholar, born in Brooklyn, New York. The collection consists of about 12,000 items and spans the years 1880 to 1940. The majority of the material is Goodnow's correspondence, but there are also lectures, addresses, writings and printed material.
George Boas papers
George Boas (1891 – 1980) was a Professor of Philosophy at Johns Hopkins University. The collection spans the years from 1920 to 1980, and consists of articles, correspondence, notebooks, reprints, short stories, and speeches.
Helen H. Tanzer collection
This collection relates to the donation of Margaret B. Wilson’s personal library after her death in 1945. Helen H. Tanzer was the executor of Wilson’s will. The materials consist of Tanzer’s correspondence, book checklists, shipping receipts for the books, income tax information, and a news clipping.
John Dewey collection
The collection consists of printed articles by John Dewey and reprints from education journals discussing his philosophy of education. Also included are clippings, centenary celebration items, and two photographs of Dewey.
John Martin Vincent papers
John Martin Vincent (1857-1939) years was a Professor of European History at Johns Hopkins University. This collection consists of correspondence, scrapbooks, subject files, and personal materials ranging in date from 1881 to 1925. The bulk of the material is correspondence dating from 1900-1910.
Johns Hopkins University Joseph Sweetman Ames collection
Joseph Sweetman Ames became Director of the Physical Laboratory at Johns Hopkins University in 1901. He taught until becoming provost of the University in 1926 and president from 1929 to 1935. This collection largely consists of speeches and lectures given at Johns Hopkins, but also includes correspondence, photographs, reprints, and biographical information.
