Overview This collection consists of eight volumes containing meeting minutes, membership information, and financial accounts of the Druid Hill Permanent Building and Saving Association of Baltimore City. The association was founded in 1873. Membership was generally derived from the Baltimore small merchant and working class and later included various proprietors, mostly Jewish-American, of real estate businesses.

After beginning his career in his native Italy, Caruso immigrated to the United States and became a star at the Metropolitan Opera. Overview This collection consists of one leatherbound scrapbook consisting of approximately 104 photographs, and related ephemera, kept by the Navy sailor Thomas E. Baker of the Baltimore-commissioned ship the U.S.S. Pentheus. The materials date between 1939 and 1945.

Soren Lura correspondence collection

Overview Soren Lura was a cellist and conductor who also worked for the Library of Congress. His collection consists of 22 letters by Brahms, Sarasate, Richard Strauss, Moscheles, Spohr, Grainger, Wilhelmj, Saint-Saëns, and others, collected by Lili Scholz and given to Lura in 1950. In 2007, Lura's daughters, Donna Fink and Dody Martin, donated the letters to Peabody in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Peabody Archives.
