Overview This collection contains three chromolithographic trade cards advertising a soap product called “Soapine," dated approximately 1880-1884, manufactured by the Kendall Manufacturing Company. The cards were designed by American writer and illustrator, Charlotte Perkins Gilman (1860-1935). The Kendall Manufacturing Company was established in 1827 in Providence, Rhode Island.
