Ralph G. Murdy was a deputy police commissioner with the Baltimore City Police Department in the 1970s. Scope and Contents

The collection consists of one notebook containing newspaper clippings and comments describing the trial of Michael Rock who was tried for the alleged rape of Elizabeth Black, August 13, 1852. The week long trial was conducted in the criminal court of Baltimore City in November 1852. The clippings include testimony of all witnesses including those who were called by defense to give opinions of Elizabeth Black's character.

Samson Feldman cartoons

Abstract

Samson Feldman (circa 1901-1983) began submitting political cartoons to The Baltimore Sun after graduating from Baltimore City College. This collection contains 33 printed cartoons that were published in The Evening Sun editions of The Baltimore Sun from 1917 to 1918. The collection also includes one photograph of Feldman from circa 1966. This collection does not include original art work.

Dr. Samuel H. Bryant, of Baltimore, Maryland, was born on March 25, 1905. This collection consists of about 350 letters written by Dr. Samuel H. Bryant of Baltimore, Maryland, to his wife, Edna C., between May 14, 1941 and November 15, 1944. Most of the letters were sent from undisclosed locations in the South Pacific (around the islands of Fiji).
