This collection consists of a friendship album belonging to Lorinda Fitts Merriam of Champion, New York, created between 1838 and 1840.
Hair and ribbon friendship album with fabric cover
This is an album with an applied fabric cover and hand-stitched fabric border. It includes thirty-six works of art constructed with paper, ribbons and hair. Thirty-two of the items were created between 1867-1874, and the last four are from 1897. There is currently no biographical information on the creator.
William Paul Jones album
William Paul Jones is presumed to have lived in Baltimore in the 1820s. The album (approximately 1820s) consists of messages and poetry written by Jones's friends when he was preparing to begin a life at sea.
