Subgroup 2, Series 2, Faculty, is composed of correspondence, memoranda and appointment letters. This series records the composition and changes in the SAIS faculty, both full-time and part-time, during the years 1971 to 1980. General records at the beginning of this series, concerning appointments, salary and tenure, are arranged alphabetically by file title. Following these records are folders containing personal records of individual faculty members, arranged alphabetically by name of each person. Records of an evaluative nature in this series are restricted.

Conditions Governing Access

All collections are closed except to office of origin or original owner until processed. University records are closed for 25 years from the point of creation. These files contain personnel records, attorney-client privileged information, and personally identifiable information, which are subject to further restrictions.

Access is restricted to education records of living students or former students, as defined by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, unless the student or former student grants access in writing. If it is not possible to verify date of death, the student will be assumed to be deceased 80 years after date of graduation, or date of last attendance.
